MCOM 532 Digital and Still Photography
Outcome 4
Models critical and creative thinking skills in all areas of his or her professional life.
Summary
Telling a story without words can be just as powerful as a story with words. This project explored using digital still images to tell the story of a writer finding inspiration in a fortune cookie. The images shot used a variety of photography techniques learned in MCOM 532. The photographer also had to be aware of indoor and outdoor lighting situations. After the photos were taken, they were loaded into Photoshop to adjust brightness and contrast.
Reflection
This was one of my favorite projects to date. Telling this story was fun and challenging. Lighting can make or break a great photography. Adjusting each photos brightness and contrast helped bring all the pictures together as one complete project. This project also taught me that having a good model is important when you want to convey a message. John, my writer, was great to work with.
