I completed my internship at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA in the Spring 2014 semester. I worked in the audio/visual department under the supervision of Peter Mackey. The AV department is one facet of the over all computer services department at NCC. My experiences in the AV department allowed me to engage in hands on learning and day-to-day workflow. Each day included a variety of experiences from scheduled set up and tear down of equipment, to work orders, to technical emergencies that needed immediate attention. I learned the importance of hardware and software products, how they both play a vital role, and how difficult it can be to synthesize them.
