Implement a cycle of quantitative and qualitative research that leads to improved technology integration and teacher adoption.

 

Summary

Effectively researching and understanding a topic area can be a long and arduous process. Creating an annotated bibliography gives a researcher the chance to explore quantitative as well as qualitative research studies. This annotated bibliography specifically focuses on technology integration using Web 2.0, ePortfolios, podcasting, and iPads. Through the exploration of eight empirical research articles, the researcher expands his or her knowledge of technology integration in these areas and is better able to choose one specific area to research. When read by other researcher or colleagues, the annotated bibliography acts as a reference point for technology integration in a variety of areas.

 

Reflection

I was not looking forward to this assignment when it was assigned, but after it was all said and done, I was thankful that I was made to specifically research various technologies and how they were integrated. Finding research is only part of the process. The annotated bibliography challenged me to read, analyze, interpret and write about my findings.
